After working on quantum optomechanics at TU Delft, Alex joins the quantum networking efforts of the Bernien Lab as a postdoc. We are excited to have you!

Alex finished his Bachelor's and Master's in Physics at the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany. During this time, he completed two research internships abroad. The first at the University of Osaka, where he worked on sensing single electron charges in self-assembled quantum dots. In his second, he studied the coupling of quantum dots to optical microcavities at the University of Basel. Apparently unable to get enough of nanopotonics, he graduated with a PhD on quantum optomechanics with low thermal noise, which was jointly awarded by TU Delft and Westlake University in China.

In the Bernien Lab, Alex will expand our expertise on nanophotonic fabrication and help to establish our next generation of devices. We look forward to working with Alex!
